Why do you consider Catholics and Christians to be different? All a christian is, is someone who believe Jesus is the messiah. Which Catholics do making them Christians.

As a catholic I do pray to saints. Saints help God like angels do. It isn’t worship, which would be false worship, but reverence like what is shown to Mary. Saints need to preform miracles before and after their death to become saints, so they have the God given ability to help you, or at least give comfort. Mary is the mother of God and deserves our respect. She can act like any other would and give us comfort by praying to her in our time of need.

      Matthew 12:46-50New International Version (NIV)

      Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
46 While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”

48 He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

      Luke 8:20-21New International Version (NIV)

20 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.”

21 He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.”

There is 2 boxes one is labeled “Creator” the other is labeled “Creation”
Which box does Jesus go in?
      A.) Creator.
Which box does Mary go in?
      A.)Creation

Yes she was favored and blessed to be the flesh mother of the Incarnate God during His time on Earth. However Christ is Lord and Has no Mother in the Unseen realm. He is the Lord and Savior of ALL including Mary my beloved brother in Christ.
      Luke 1:46-47New International Version (NIV)

      Mary’s Song
      46 And Mary said:

      “My soul glorifies the Lord
47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior

Only a sinner needs a Savior. Mary was a sinner just like all of us. Romans 3:23 says New International Version
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:10 says New International Version
      As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;

Only Jesus Christ was righteous and we are clothed in His righteousness.
We are to display His glory and glorify Him. Listen to Mary when she says my soul glorifies my Lord. She does not want her other brethren to sin and commit idolatry.

Remember there is one God and no He does not have a mother in Heaven. He is Lord of all.
