Today were going to continue discussing more fulfilled prophecies concerning Israel. Yesterday we talked about prophecies that described the Israelites moving back home, how the nation was born in a day and the exact order in which the Jews moved back to their homeland. Today we will look prophecies in the Bible that predict Israel’s language being restored, the old cities of Israel being rebuild and how God would cause the nation of Israel to bloom with produce, that would fill the world.
A lost language is restored
Zephaniah predicts that a day would come when the pure language of Hebrew would be spoken again. Before Israel’s rebirth, Jews were speaking an impure form of Hebrew called Yiddish.
Zephaniah 3:8-10 “Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. (9) For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. (10) From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.”
The Old Cities will be restored
Ezekiel prophesies that after the Jews return to their home, they will reestablish many of their cities in their original locations.
Ezekiel 36:11 “And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.”
Israel will fill the world with her fruit
Isaiah predicts that Israel will one day fill the world with fruit grown in their land. Less than 100 years ago, Israel was covered with swamps and deserts. What little land they had that could be farmed was covered in rocks and boulders. Today Israel is one of the world’s major producers of produce.
Isaiah 27:6 “He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.”
Isaiah 35:1-2 “The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. (2) It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.”
Once again, God proves that he wrote the Bible through the lips, hands and personalities of men.
